found my old logitech joystick (extreme 3D pro) and ended up connecting it to infinite flight and playing it with it, and ended up with a cool setup. since apple does not let anyone directly connect USBs to devices, i downloaded flight connect live on my computer which allowed me to connect directly to infinite flight on my ipad thorough wifi which is pretty cool.

If you haven’t already, I can highly recommend checking out Extreme Landings. They have a free version so you can try it first.

I don’t know if it supports joysticks (I expect not), but it’s easily my favorite flight sim on iOS, not least because it lets you simulate a cross-Atlantic flight on a Concorde that lost two engines to fires and has a collapsed landing gear.

oh yeah I’ve played that app, I feel it’s a bit more arcade-y, but it seemed pretty fun to play. my biggest gripe with it when I played it was that it wasn’t as realistic enough, but it was still pretty fun to play granted. I’ve also played other games by the same developers and I have to say I've spent hours on end playing the f-18 games

Yeah, it’s definitely more arcade-y, but I’m so addicted to scheduling routes and just waiting for the inevitable issue. The thing that really bugs me about it is that even if you divert to a nearby airport, they never fix any of the problems. “Well, you’re leaking fuel from the left tank, and both of your right engines caught on fire, and you have to make an emergency landing in Boston, but we’ve finished refueling and you should definitely keep making your way to Heathrow.”

I love all of their games. I forget which it is, but there’s one that even lets you design your own combat missions.

hahah that’s quite funny. their combat games were really fun, I remember just crashing into random things to see the plane fall apart spectacularly
